Went to Magpie Yarns and used part of my gift certificate.....

	Andes yarn Full skein of EA Andes in color 16 stretched out. Bought 4 skeins in order to make a vest.

	Mega Boots Stretch Lana Grossa Meilenweit Mega Boots Stretch in color 701. I'm amused that it says "waschmaschinenfest".
	Shawl in progress About another foot to go... or until I run out of yarn. Wondering how much it will grow when I block it. Yarn is Knit Picks Andean Treasure in Moss.
	What? Her eyelashes make her look grumpy or sad.

From what little I remember of my high school German, waschmaschinenfest should be the same as "superwash", safe to be machine washed. Can't swear to it 100% (I'm 20 years out of practice) but that sounds right.

Is Magpie Yarns local? And if so, where?

Yea, I figured it was "superwash", but I'm amused by a "Washing Machine Fest" in some little part of my brain.

Yup! Magpie Yarns opened up a few months ago. They are at 513 E. High Street (right across from the Black Market and up the street from Ramsey's). Their number is 455-7437. They have a small assortment of sock yarns currently, but some of it is interesting. Nice little shop and nice staff. :)

ReBelle is another new shop that is aiming to open September 1st. They will be under Sqecial in the old Paisley Peacock space. :)
