Went to the Maryland Sheep and Wool with Rachyl last Saturday and we had a wonderful time. We did some major fiber shopping, but stayed within our budgets, didn't splurge on new wheels or drum carders, and most notably, didn't buy ANY yarn. Wore Melusine a bit and got many compliments. Wandered the sheep barns and got offers of freshly bagged merino (I swear it was like a drug deal, back in the shadows of the barn). Glad to meet up with some friends, although I missed others (and the Ravelry meetup and the sheep dog demos). By the end of the day, my feet were aching (and I think I bruised the top of my instep) but I was happy.

Note to self: do this again with Rachyl next year.

I have many talented friends. My friend Morg is one of them, sending me lovely jewelry she's made for me. I wanted to show some of them here today.

I lacked a human model to photograph these on, so Moro wore them for me today.

She made me a lovely set of earrings and a necklace she called "Raindrops".

She made me some earrings to wear at our friends' wedding last autumn.

She recently made this cute and fun little anklet for me, which is very comfortable to wear.

And she threw this cool design when I visited her last autumn.

Yesterday celticmll and I visited the Louisville zoo with rosepurr and had an awesome time. I took lots of pictures of animals, including some close up ones of goats from the African petting zoo. I like goats. They look like they know everything. :)

Later on we had dinner at a neat place called Ramsi's (which I would like to take Paul to once he is back) with magecat and his wife, who I haven't seen in many many years. Amazing how some things don't change. :D We traipsed up and down Bardstown road looking for desserts and finally ended up at a coffee shop. I got a black shirt with a big aqua star on it (coffee shop's logo of sorts) since I had been wanting one when I was there last time. :D

Oh yea, I bought yarn on Saturday. Bad me. :)
