Weekend of making. I even wished I could make even more than I did.

Trying my hand at stranded colorwork. Not too hard after a while. I may even come out of this with some ability to do continental knitting.

A heel... but toe-up... with a flap heel? Because it is fun to go backwards, Widdershins. I did show this before... sometime in February. I got it up to the increases for the heel, and then decided I wanted it ribbed, so I ripped it all the way back down to the end of toe and started again.

And something I've been meaning to do for ages (or at least, since I found the half yard of ikat cloth in my pile of fabric), I sewed some stuff together.

Now, I never said I was good at sewing. This project made me doubt my ability to sew straight lines, but I think the fabric may have conspired against me. And I could probably use a huge ruler and rotary cutter, which I do not need until I actually feel the need to acquire another hobby, like quilting.

Although it isn't perfect, it is quite useful. Case to contain all my double-point needles and so I could gleefully throw away all the wrappers.

I will be knitting the skull and crossbones motif for a hat for my roommate. It's this pattern: http://www.helloyarn.com/wecallthempirates.htm

The Widdershins pattern is rather friendly if you don't do well with short rows. It has an ingenious toe construction and a very small amount of short rows to turn the heel.
