The fastest socks in existence!

Details remain the same, except to note that I used US 2 DPNs for these and knit up the Medium size.
Pattern: RPM by Aija Goto
Yarn: Applelaine Apple Pie in Blue Bayou

My next sock plans are for a pair of Widdershins (ribbed version) in some Trekking XXL that I've had around for forever. But first, I have a few other things needing to be knit, namely some armwarmers for [livejournal.com profile] nagitaka and another pair of legwarmers for me. Iowa is a cold cold place.

And a little bit of yarn porn for you.

Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock in Ravenscroft and Atomic #6. I'm sorting through my patterns to find something interesting for each of these. I'm toying with the idea of Nagini and New Year's Day Socks.

Some yarns to be swatched, washed and sent to the intended recipient to deem if they are soft enough to be knit into the Herringbone Sweater from Knitting For Him. Elann Peruvian Sierra Aran, Jo Sharp Silkroad Aran Tweed and Rowan RYC Cashsoft Aran.

Yea, I've had some mediumweight around that I picked up at the Maryland Sheep & Wool, but I haven't tried it yet. The base yarn looks rather different than any of the other handpaints I've seen around.

Mmmm...yarn porn.

And those socks are awesome. =) I'd be tempted to learn color work to make them into barber poles, though.

Or you could pick a varigated sock yarn that has really strong color pooling tendencies. One of these (I didn't look to see if both did it) color pools in a swirl opposite of the textured swirl. :D

Cute!

Yeah, I know next to nothing about yarn or knitting, but I'm an authority on cute!
