boaphile pictures

I got Lua situated in her Boaphile this weekend. It has a bit of a problem with it, but I sent an email to Jeff Ronne and I hope to hear about it soon. If not, I'll give him a call and ask what is up. :)

So, pictures

Lua in her 334A Boaphile. I love how it is made and can't wait to get ones for the other snakes, so I have a neat stack of them. :)

A picture of Lua in the leaves. Could not balance out the yellow from taking it without flash, for whatever reason.

Good one of her using the flash. This is through the plexiglas front, which amazes me that it turned out as well as it did.

Beautiful! Perfect enclosure for her! Is that a live plant? If so, are you depending on transient light from the front to keep it alive? Also, how are you heating it? Looks like you're using an incandescent spot lamp? Anything else?

I woudn't want the job of cleaning up that plant from snake poo. :)

Thanks! The plant is a few strands of fake leaves from Michaels. When it gets dirty, I throw it in the tub with a diluted bleach solution and rinse it real well before putting it back in. She likes to have the leaves to hide in, so they circle around the perches and drape onto the ground. The box has a fluorescent light tucked inside the front door and has flex-watt strips sealed to the bottom of the box.

One of the strands is the one you gave me and it is used for the part that trails down to the ground. I bought two more from Michaels to cover more of the perches. :)

Thanks! I called Jeff today and he said he'd send me out some glue today to fix the seam. Yay!
