no one knows who's in control
7 Mar 2008 09:43 pmMy first wheel-spun yarn.

Some of it is pretty, and looks like how I think handspun yarn should look.

Although, when I tested it, it wasn't balanced and wrapped upon itself. This is a learning process.
Some of it is really loose, although it seemed to be balanced when I plied it. (Maybe my singles are overspun?)

Obviously overspun. I did have some problems with plying because I forgot to switch some settings and some parts were hideously overspun.

I still think it is kind of pretty though. It is my first.

A little bit of everything.

Fiber: unknown type of wool from Stone's Throw Artisans, possibly around 3 oz.
It is kind of driving me to try to do it better next time. Taking a bit more care in what fiber I try next. Saving the pretty stuff for when I know more what I'm doing.
