ride again

Today, I have two small skeins of yarn. Looser than I plied before, but it looks nice to knit with. I'll find out eventually.

From Half Blue Faced Leicester fleece locks.

From Romney roving.

Working at the computer leads to chilly hands, so I cast on for Marnie MacLean's Hooray for me Gloves (which I've been meaning to knit for forever).

Yarn: Schoeller + Stahl Fortissima Colori Disco Socka

Rune has learned to love her Kitty Pi.

And in the mornings, she spends her time being a solar collector.

that romney? is the sex. you're doing it on a friggin' drop spindle?

Thanks! The romney turned out really nice and soft after I wet set it. :) I finally got the hang of dropping the spindle instead of spinning and parking and have been able to do a lot more spinning with it.

Isn't that a great "a-HA" moment? :)

Yea, when I was watching the fiber arts presenter at the Cria Fest, it clicked how to do it. Awesomeness. :)

You're spinning is looking great! I love the colors on the Romney wool.

Is that second one from the same roving you gave me a piece of? I might have to spin some of it up just to see it in action.

I've spun nearly all the black roving and I'll probably move on to one of the others, now, but I need to decide how I'm going to put things together, I guess.

Yup, it is from the three colored romney roving. It has some bits that make it a bit slubby, so it is a little annoying to work with, but the colors are nice.
