yarn: Malabrigo Merino in Glazed Carrot


Actually reversed the chart for the left-hand mitt with this pair.


How it looks on. I made these the length of the pattern instead of modified like I did for mine.

Techniques:

1. I learned to do a purl version of the long-tail cast on, so I cast on in pattern and it gives such a nice finish for the ribbing.


2. I paid attention to the chart this time and purled through the back loop for the vines, which has a nice braided effect.
3. I learned to cable without a cable needle, since these were all one stitch cables.

Not really, except there is this one particular maneuver that makes me think I'm going to break my needles. :D They are a nice little project to do though, much more enjoyable than a scarf.
