Trying out a simple lace pattern that I think I will use for my handspun yarn shawl. Yarn: Knit Picks Merino Style in Dusk.

Super simple pattern! I picked it because it looks really pretty, but doesn't need much attention to get it right. :)

Maybe once I get some free time this summer, I'll get back into knitting. Then, I can bug you for the pattern. =)

Beautiful!

Your definition of 'simple' seems to differ from mine. ;)

Well, there are lace patterns that use a chart and you have a different pattern of stitches every other row and one pattern repeat consists of 30 or so rows. I have one of those right now on the needles and it isn't done since it requires a lot of attention so I don't lose where I am in the pattern and miscount. This pattern is 2 rows of lace pattern (which is a repeating pattern that is easy to memorize) and then the second of the lace rows is basically the same as the first, but shifted over one stitch. It looks really complex and impressive, but is really simple to make. :)
